Plasma Surgical opens new Research and Development center in Atlanta

ROSWELL, Ga.-- Plasma Surgical is pleased to announce the opening of its new Research and Development facility in Atlanta.

The creation of the new facility follows the relocation of Plasma Surgical's Chief Technology Officer – Professor Nikolay Suslov from Sweden to the United States. "Nikolay is the inventor of our unique plasma surgery technology", said Peter Gibson, President and Chief Executive Officer. "It has long been his goal to live and work in the United States, and his move brings him closer to our largest market and our expanding US operation."

The new Research and Development center is in a separate building adjacent to the company's main operations in Roswell Georgia and expands the company's leased facilities at that location to 35,000 ft². Also joining Professor Suslov from Sweden is Fredrik Jonsson - Manager of Experimental Research and Development, and R&D Engineer - Natalia Suslova. Plasma Surgical will grow the US based R&D team to continue its longstanding program of research into plasma medicine and the development of further innovative products for use in surgery.
